We got immediately in love with Scotland. The Highlands, their history, the wildlife… This country reminded us to Iceland. A part of our hearts still waiting to return there to admire Inverness or Western Ross once more. But, we tried very hard for leaving no trace except for our memories.
We did a 8-days route by car and through the Highlands and a little the lowlands. This is the route summary and the map of our Scotland adventure.
We started our trip from Edinburgh and visiting St. Andrews, a beautiful coastal town with a lot of history. Even if you only stay for a day, there is plenty of things to do.

Western Ross region, one of the most beautiful in Scotland, and we head south towards the Inverewe Gardens and Lake Kishorn.
Eilean Donan Castle, located very close to the village of Kyle for Lochalsh, just opposite Skye, and on the southern limit of the inhospitable Wester Ross region.
